The winner will be recognized at the annual PACE Business of the Year Awards Luncheon in January.
The PACE Business Awards honors member businesses for Performance, Achievement and Commitment to Excellence in business. Considerations include adaptability in a changing business world, innovative business strategies and recognition as a business leader in your industry. The award categories allow for recognition of a broad range of business types, sizes and unique qualities.
General Criteria: Businesses are encouraged to nominate themselves or a business they believe is deserving of the award. In general, nominees should be those whose primary business positively impacts the Elk River region through the jobs provided or the service or products created and whose business practices and professional conduct is above reproach. The following categories of awards are considered each year.
Employer of the Year The award will recognize the company that has created an outstanding workplace and has a committed, effective and motivated workforce. Please provide examples of workplace policies that set you apart and how they have benefited the business and its employees. Provide tangible examples of clear benefits for the selection committee to understand why your employees would agree you are the best employer. Nominations may be submitted by the employer or employees.
New Business of the Year This award is aimed at companies that have been in business for less than five years and have an innovative business model or a clear point of differentiation. This can be found in businesses that have identified a gap in the market for a new service or product or are offering an established product / service that has been adapted and improved to keep pace with the times and the needs of customers.
Small Business of the Year Small-businesses are the mainstay of our community. This award recognizes an organization of less than 10 employees which has been in business for at least five years. The award will feature businesses who have an outstanding product or service as well as great people that provide superior customer service, and / or have a track record of successful growth.
Business of the Year This award recognizes an organization with 10 or more employees which has been in business for at least five years. We are looking for a company with outstanding, innovative products or services coupled with great people, innovative marketing, customer service to be proud of, and/or significant market share increase plus a sustainable business model.
Nominations due in the chamber office by November 10 To receive the award, the business must be chamber member in good standing as of December 15.
Final selection will be made by the chamber’s board of directors
Award Winners will receive the award at the luncheon and will receive discounted tickets to the event.
